Lovesexy

Lovesexy is Prince's 10th studio album that was released on May 10, 1988 by Warner Bros. Records & Paisley Park Records.

The album was recorded in only seven weeks (from mid-December of 1987 to late January of 1988) and was released as a substitute album after his album "The Black Album" was cancelled at the last minute.

The album is designed to be heard in the context of a continuous sequence: the LP pressings split the album in two side-long tracks without visual bands to indicate individual songs; similarly, early CD copies of "Lovesexy" have the entire album in sequence as a single track, though some later editions have it as nine separate tracks.

The song received mixed reviews from critics and peaked at #11 on the Billboard 200.
